Description
Lenoir County Public Schools is soliciting proposals for a fully managed wide area network connecting its instructional and administrative facilities. The district requires dedicated, symmetrical transport bandwidth of 2 Gbps to each location, with 10 Gbps aggregate capacity to Central Services and scalability up to 10 Gbps per location and 40 Gbps aggregate. Fiber, fixed wireless, and other technologies may be proposed if they meet the specifications, although dedicated infrastructure and private fiber solutions are encouraged. The scope includes network design, construction routes, demarcation-point delivery, installation, special construction, monthly recurring service, and pricing for both 36-month and 60-month terms. Proposals must address service-level requirements including 99.99% availability, specified packet-loss, latency, and jitter commitments, 24/7/365 support, two-hour outage response, and four-hour restoration. Vendors must provide a network diagram, implementation timeline, three comparable customer references, pricing for current and potential future sites, and a signed acknowledgment of E-Rate program integrity requirements. The network must be operational by July 1, 2027, subject to funding and a written notice to proceed.
