Description
The U.S. Department of Defense, through the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, is soliciting commercial food service equipment for Fort Jackson. The equipment list includes heated pass-through and holding cabinets, reach-in and roll-in refrigerators and freezers, custom utility and work cabinets with sneeze guards, milk and beverage dispensers, platform trucks, gas griddles, a tilting skillet/braising pan, an ice maker with storage bin and water filtration, insulated food carriers, steam table pans and covers, pan accessories, and related components. Several items identify brand-name-or-equal requirements and specified commercial models. The awarded contractor must uncrate and set the equipment in place, make final connections, and perform startup as needed. The contractor must also disconnect replaced units and move them to the back dock for inventory and disposal; Fort Jackson is responsible for moving equipment from the consolidation warehouse to the appropriate buildings. The solicitation states that the equipment is a publicly available commercial acquisition and includes manufacturer warranty and terms-and-conditions requirements for various items.
