Description

The City of Coronado is soliciting a contractor to remove and modify portions of an existing storm drain diversion structure and install a new owner-furnished pre-engineered fiberglass pump station, contractor-furnished wet well, valve vault, force main, piping, check valves, electrical service, controls, and related appurtenances. The work also includes demolition and reconstruction, excavation and shoring, dewatering, traffic control, stormwater best management practices, pavement and sidewalk restoration, landscaping and palm-tree preservation or replacement, potholing, startup, and testing. Specified products include Val-Matic check valves, FleetZoom FZ400 monitoring equipment, and a Flygt pre-engineered fiberglass pump station; no equal products are permitted for those items. The project has an estimated value of $1,213,400 and requires a California Class A General Engineering Contractor's License, prevailing-wage compliance, and registration of the contractor and subcontractors with the California Department of Industrial Relations. The contractor must perform at least 50% of the contract work with its own organization. Construction must begin no later than February 15, 2027, and the work must be completed within 80 working days after the Notice to Proceed.
