Description
The Atlantic County Utilities Authority is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of virgin hardwood mulch, including brown, black, natural, and red hardwood mulch, plus certified playground mulch made from 100% virgin wood. The estimated maximum quantity is 11,500 cubic yards over one year: 1,500 cubic yards of brown hardwood, 7,500 cubic yards of black hardwood, 500 cubic yards of natural hardwood, 500 cubic yards of red hardwood, and 1,000 cubic yards of certified playground mulch. Materials must meet specified sizing, texture, color, odor, feedstock, cleanliness, and coloring requirements. Bidders must provide colored-mulch SDS sheets, playground-mulch certification, and a five-pound material sample before the bid deadline. Deliveries must be scheduled with the Authority, have a minimum delivery quantity of 65 cubic yards, and generally occur within 24 hours of notification. The contract term is 12 months with an optional 12-month extension.
