Description
The project includes installing approximately 309 linear feet of 8-inch PVC sewer pipe, three new sanitary sewer manholes, and reconnecting one existing sewer lateral. Work also includes removing an existing manhole and sewer box, abandoning or removing approximately 317 linear feet of existing 6-inch sewer pipe, sewer bypass pumping, trench check dams, excavation and backfill, testing, and pavement restoration. The contractor must provide the labor, materials, equipment, and related work needed for a complete installation. Bidders must hold a California Class A General Engineering Contractor license and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations; prevailing-wage requirements apply. A bid guarantee of at least 10% of the total bid price is required. The successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the agreement amount, before agreement execution. The work must be completed within 60 working days after the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
