Description
The City seeks a contractor to mill approximately 2.3 miles of existing asphalt roadway and replace it with four inches of new asphalt, installed in two lifts. Work includes subgrade and base preparation, fog sealing, pavement marking and striping, traffic control, adjustment of manholes and valve boxes, and installation of traffic-signal conduit and pull boxes. The project plans and specifications identify Hancock Road and associated intersections and roadway features as the work area. Bids must include the completed bid proposal and schedule, bid security, bidder qualifications, a notarized non-collusion affidavit, and acknowledgment of addenda. The bid bond is 10% of the bid; the successful contractor must provide 100% payment and performance bonds after award. The project requires night work, and the contractor must submit traffic-control plans and meet Arizona contractor licensing requirements.
