Description
Desert Star Academy seeks proposals for fiber-optic internet access at 1–10 Gbps, with pricing in 1 Gbps increments, and fiber-optic backbone cabling to interconnect first-floor IDFs. The cabling scope includes furnishing, pulling, terminating, and testing fiber; the RFP specifies an estimated 500-foot link using six-strand OM3 multimode fiber. Related installation work may include trenching, boring, conduit, handholes, vaults, poles, splicing, termination, labeling, testing, acceptance, and project management. The solicitation also requests network equipment and associated software or licenses, including switches, racks, uninterruptible power supplies/battery backups, and wireless access points, as well as basic maintenance for specified equipment and cabling. Bidders must itemize eligible and ineligible costs, provide definitive pricing, identify the requested make/model and eligible license, software, installation, testing, tax, fee, and shipping costs, and submit the completed E-Rate Service Provider Bid Response Worksheet. Proposals must reference the Form 470 number and the bidder’s SPIN. Contracts are contingent on E-Rate funding; the RFP prefers a one-year contract and also discusses 1-, 3-, and 5-year options.
