Description
The City of Orem is soliciting proposals for a complete phosphorus control system for its Water Reclamation Facility. The system will treat anaerobically digested sludge through controlled struvite precipitation to reduce orthophosphorus concentrations, limit uncontrolled struvite formation and phosphorus recycling, and support wastewater nutrient-removal objectives. The selected supplier will provide an integrated system including process equipment, pumps, tanks, chemical feed and storage systems, blowers, valves, instrumentation, controls, PLC/HMI programming, and related appurtenances. The scope also includes equipment design and fabrication, factory testing, delivery, installation support, commissioning, performance testing, operator training, operations and maintenance documentation, and warranty support. Installation will be performed under a separate construction contract, requiring coordination with the City, its engineer, and the future general contractor. The project is anticipated to receive federal funding and is subject to applicable federal procurement requirements, including Build America, Buy America requirements.
