The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission is issuing a Request for Qualifications for the HH-1018 Moccasin Powerhouse Bypass Upgrade project. Qualified applicants will be considered for a forthcoming Request for Proposals to upgrade or replace high-pressure energy-dissipating bypass valves, control systems, and associated structures. The project will provide a reliable hydraulic bypass around the Moccasin Powerhouse turbines and directly to the Moccasin Reservoir Bypass Pipeline. The improvements are intended to support continued water deliveries and operational flexibility during outages or curtailments affecting the powerhouse, switchyard, or associated transmission lines. The estimated cost is to be determined.
