Description
The City of Somerville School District is requesting proposals for Category One E-Rate services consisting of broadband internet access and a leased on-premise router, with incremental pricing for bandwidth options from 10 Gbps through 25 Gbps. The solicitation identifies one service request for internet access and data transmission and one for Category One network equipment, each requiring installation and initial configuration. Proposals are subject to E-Rate funding and subsequent governing board approval. The applicant may consider a one-year agreement with up to four annual voluntary renewals, and the provider must comply with the Lowest Corresponding Price rule. The sample agreement states that recurring services may begin on or after July 1, 2027, and non-recurring services may begin on or after April 1, 2028, subject to written authorization to proceed.
