Description
Anderson County Schools is requesting proposals for either leased lit fiber or leased dark fiber WAN solutions connecting Robert B. Turner Elementary, Saffell Street Elementary, Anderson County Middle School, Anderson County High School, and the district hub at the Anderson County Central Office. The WAN must provide logical connectivity among all facilities, use home-run fiber connections to the central office, support speeds of at least 10 Gbps at every location, and accommodate future expansion, VoIP, and streaming video. Proposals may address one or both solution types, but lit- and dark-fiber proposals must be submitted separately. The scope includes fiber installation or service, termination materials, fiber layout and distance information, pricing for 10 Gbps and 100 Gbps service and infrastructure, initial installation, rights-of-way, easements, permits, pole attachments, recurring and non-recurring charges, monthly payment schedules, and ongoing support and maintenance. Repairs must receive a response within four hours or less. The provider is responsible for applicable infrastructure changes, permitting and pole-related charges, traffic control, required design drawings after award, and compliance with applicable codes. The contract term is five years through June 30, 2032, with services required to be operational before July 1, 2027. A SPIN is required for managed-service proposals seeking USF funding, and references for projects of comparable size must be provided.
