The U.S. Food and Drug Administration intends to purchase one Evident Scientific FV5000 advanced laser scanning confocal microscope imaging system on a brand-name-or-equal basis through a GSA Federal Supply Schedule order. The requirement includes the microscope system and a broad set of ancillary components, including optical filters and objectives, fluorescence and transmitted-light sources, detectors, workstation hardware, control units, cables, software licenses, laboratory furniture, rack components, environmental temperature control, and related accessories. The notice identifies a total value of $188,603.79 for the non-MAS/open-market components. It also includes specialized shipping and transit logistics, turnkey physical installation, setup, and multi-point calibration. This is a special notice for public dissemination and transparency only; it expressly states that it is not a request for competitive open-market quotations and that no separate open-market solicitation will be issued.
