Description
Montgomery County Public Schools is soliciting one or more qualified, experienced, and properly licensed contractors to provide comprehensive boiler, burner, and related mechanical support services for its school buildings and support facilities. The scope includes certified boiler and pressure-vessel repairs; boiler replacement, retubing, welding, and piping; burner sales, installation, conversion, preventive maintenance, controls, emergency response, and combustion testing; refractory repair and installation; nondestructive testing and inspection support; custom breeching, smokestack, and ductwork fabrication; heat exchanger repair and installation; rigging, hauling, demolition, mechanical piping, valves, fittings, insulation, temporary mobile boilers, parts, and cleaning. Contractors must demonstrate relevant institutional or public-sector experience, applicable ASME, R-Stamp, PP-Stamp, Maryland HVAC, and WSSC gas-fitting licenses or certifications, qualified personnel, 24-hour emergency-response capability, and compliance with applicable safety, labor, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Proposed labor rates must be provided for specified trades and services, with overtime, travel, material markups, and emergency-response charges identified separately. The response must include company experience, licenses and certifications, emergency-response capabilities, staffing and technician qualifications, labor rates, references, exceptions or clarifications, required certifications, a data-sharing form, a current Form W-9, and a separate redacted proposal copy.
