Description
Greenville County Schools is soliciting a construction manager at risk for the relocation of Donaldson Career Center. The scope includes preconstruction services; demolition and legal disposal of the existing building, buried fuel tank, contaminated soil, and associated utilities; asbestos remediation; site development; and construction of a new one-story, approximately 125,000-square-foot career and technology school serving more than 800 students. The facility will include classrooms, laboratories, career-training spaces, administrative and support areas, specialty shop systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, compressed-air, dust-collection, fume-extraction, and other building systems. The CM must provide preconstruction estimating, subcontractor solicitation and bid analysis, scheduling, constructability and value-engineering reviews, and development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price. The proposal must separately price preconstruction services, general conditions, remediation and demolition, and the CM's overhead, profit, bond, and insurance fee. The anticipated construction cost, excluding CM fee and contingency, is roughly $60 million. The contract includes a one-year period of performance from award, with the project anticipated to run from November 23, 2026, through November 22, 2029.
