The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service is seeking one new Olympus BX53 upright microscope with phase contrast and fluorescence capability, or an equal product meeting the stated salient characteristics. The microscope must include standard eyepieces; 4X fluorite, 10X phase, and 40X phase objectives; a rotatable five-position phase-contrast condenser; reflected-light fluorescence illumination with an eight-position cube turret; a pE-300Lite LED light source; and DAPI, GFP, and mCherry/TxRed filter sets. A camera is expressly excluded from this purchase. The quotation must cover the complete quantity of one unit and include sufficient documentation to establish technical acceptability. The solicitation states that the quoted product must be new, not refurbished or remanufactured, and must be the exact specified brand and model; equal products will not be considered despite the brand-name-or-equal provision. Delivery is required by October 28, 2026, with a minimum five-year warranty on mechanics and optics and a one-year warranty on electronics. Award is anticipated as a single firm-fixed-price order using lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation, including acceptable or neutral past performance.
