Description
Midland Public Schools is soliciting bids for the purchase and delivery of unleaded gasoline and No. 2 ultra-low-sulfur diesel fuel for its Transportation Department. The gasoline must have a minimum octane rating of 87 and comply with ASTM D4814; the diesel must comply with ASTM D-975 and specified federal requirements, with winter mix available from November through February. Deliveries must be authorized by the district, freight prepaid to the destination, completed within 72 business hours of order, and accompanied by metered delivery tickets. The district operates approximately 42 diesel vehicles and 26 gasoline vehicles, with estimated annual usage of 90,600 gallons of diesel and 18,000 gallons of gasoline, although quantities are not guaranteed. Pricing will be based on the applicable posted terminal price, taxes, and the bidder’s fixed price differential, which must include delivery, overhead, and profit. Bidders must identify the source refinery, provide refinery contact information, and furnish qualifying OPIS or DTNergy posted-terminal-price documentation with invoices. The contract term is February 1, 2026, through January 31, 2028, with two one-year renewal options by mutual consent.
