Engineering Services for Centennial Park Shared Use Path

Description
The Village of Heyworth is requesting statements of interest for engineering services to design and oversee construction of a shared use path. The project includes a 12-foot wide hard-surfaced path for bicycle and pedestrian use, approximately 6,800 feet in length, extending from Centennial Park east along the south side of U.S. Route 136 to Prairie Meadows Drive, then north along existing electric transmission lines to Randolph Street. The work involves crosswalks, signage, grading, drainage improvements, and a retaining wall where the path crosses under the U.S. Route 51 bridge. The project is funded through an Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) grant with an estimated total cost of $1,500,000.
