Description
This Sources Sought notice requests information from qualified contractors capable of performing an approximately 18-month, design-bid-build renovation of 32 laboratories and equipment rooms across the first and second floors of an occupied federal research facility. The estimated requirement is valued at $5 million to $10 million, with anticipated contract award in summer 2027. The scope includes selective demolition; architectural, structural, mechanical/HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire-protection modifications; bulk nitrogen storage and distribution; a mass spectrometry suite; a chemical storage room; a cell culture laboratory; specialized HVAC with pressure, humidity, and air-quality controls; high-purity gas piping and mission-critical plumbing; security doors, glazing, windows, storefront systems, card readers, low-voltage systems, and an uninterruptible power supply. Respondents must demonstrate experience as a prime contractor on two similar projects exceeding $5 million, completed within the past five years, and provide evidence of single-project bonding capacity up to $10 million and aggregate bonding capacity. The response is a five-page, single-sided PDF capability package for market research and is not a request for proposals.
