Description
The City of Santa Clarita is soliciting bids from a general contractor to remove existing chain-link fencing and install new four-foot-high, three-rail, pressure-treated decorative lodgepole fencing at Begonias Lane Park and Pamplico Park. The scope includes approximately 1,132 linear feet of chain-link removal and 1,252 linear feet of lodgepole fencing installation, including excavation, disposal, backfilling, compaction, finished grading, cleanup, public-access controls, and protection of surrounding landscaping, irrigation, utilities, trees, paving, curbs, walks, park amenities, and adjacent property. The contractor is responsible for repairing damage caused by its work and coordinating equipment delivery and removal. The lodgepole posts are dirt-set at least 24 inches deep without concrete or gravel. The City will furnish the lodgepole materials. This is a prevailing-wage public works project requiring a Class A or C-27 contractor's license, certified payroll, insurance, and a 10% bid bond; a 100% labor-and-materials bond is also listed. Addendum No. 2 revises the Pamplico Park and Begonias Park bid schedule quantities and must be acknowledged through BidNet and included with the response. Bids must be submitted electronically through BidNet, with the original bid bond delivered separately by the closing deadline.
