Description
NASA is soliciting proposals for an Enhanced Use Lease of Discovery Park at Michoud Assembly Facility, consisting of approximately 45 acres of greenspace and Building 351, an approximately 32,000-square-foot mixed-use facility containing formal event space and a cafeteria. Proposers may submit for either asset separately or for both. The property will be made available in as-is condition for a base term of no less than 10 years. The proposed use must support space, information technology, and/or aerospace activities and complement the facility mission. Proposals must address planned use and development, financial capability and viability, technical approach, relevant space/IT/aerospace and facility-construction experience, and anticipated local economic impact. The selected proposer will bear the costs of development, utilities, operations, maintenance, and any required modifications, including security separation, infrastructure reconfiguration, and remediation of delta environmental contamination. Proposed first-year rent must fall within the stated fair-market-value ranges: $7.44–$10.62 per square foot per year for Building 351 and $14,487.50–$16,805.50 per acre per year for the greenspace, with rent and support-service amounts escalating 3% annually. Proposals are limited to 30 pages and must be submitted as one searchable, unlocked PDF with edit permission enabled.
