Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis for updates to the previously completed design package for Project 652-322, involving the minor expansion and enhancement of the Community Living Center at the Richmond VA Medical Center. The selected firm would update drawings, specifications, calculations, and supporting documents to comply with current VA design standards, codes, guidelines, and best practices, and prepare an updated Independent Government Cost Estimate. The scope also includes solicitation support during the construction procurement, including participation in the pre-bid site visit and project walk, responses to technical questions and requests for information, and preparation of addenda as needed. Construction Period Services may include responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals and modification requests, preparing air-emissions and land-disturbance permit applications, conducting site visits, completing punch-list activities, and delivering record drawings. Respondents must submit a capability statement addressing company information, business size and type, interest in the project, and up to three similar projects completed within the past seven years.
