Description
The City of Detroit Police Department is seeking a qualified, State of Michigan-licensed pharmacy vendor to dispense prescription medications for detainees held at the Detroit Detention Center. The vendor must comply with applicable Michigan Public Health Code and U.S. Food and Drug Administration requirements, maintain dispensing records for at least three years, operate 24 hours per day, and fill prescriptions immediately when possible or within one hour. If a medication is unavailable, the vendor must provide alternate pharmacy locations within a reasonable distance, generally no more than 30 miles from Detroit. The scope includes commercial packaging, sealed delivery, expiration and handling labels, prescription and dosage information, delivery to the Detroit Detention Center within one hour of an order during specified weekday delivery hours, and replacement of damaged, recalled, or short-dated items. Bidders must quote unit prices for all requested medications, delivery charges, bulk-order minimums, and discounts; provide manufacturer product literature; and be able to supply all medications identified in the RFQ. The selected vendor will also provide monthly detainee-related billing data through a secure database and submit approved invoices through the City's supplier portal.
