Description
The Mississippi Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for 16 highway construction contracts across Mississippi. The projects include mill-and-overlay work, bridge replacement and repair, slide improvement, fog sealing, open-graded friction course installation, audible and standard pavement markings, raised pavement markers, traffic signal and lighting improvements, roadway signing, and median barrier installation. Individual project completion periods range from 25 to 416 working days, with one project listed as contractor-determined. The published estimate ranges span from $100,000–$250,000 to more than $140,000,000 by contract. Electronic bids must be submitted through the Bid Express Service, and each proposal must include a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check equal to 5% of the bid. Disadvantaged business enterprise requirements apply when a DBE goal is included in the applicable contract.
