The San Antonio Water System is soliciting quotes for 3/4-inch mechanical compression packing supplied in 10-pound spools. Approved products include Garlock Packmaster 6, manufacturer part number 41606-3048, and American Braiding & Manufacturing Style 8200BIL. Pricing must include delivery and freight on an F.O.B. destination basis. The award will be made to the lowest qualified bidder, with base-year and extension pricing considered if applicable; the agency reserves the right to award the RFQ to one source. The attached product specifications describe braided PTFE/graphite packing for pump and valve applications, with temperature ratings up to approximately 550°F and pressure ratings up to 300 PSI for rotary applications.
