Description
The City of Crestwood is requesting proposals for independent audit services beginning with the fiscal year ending December 31, 2026. The selected firm will audit the City's financial statements in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and Government Auditing Standards, perform a federal-award audit when required, prepare required financial statements and audit reports, provide a management letter, report irregularities and illegal acts, and provide ongoing minor professional consultation. The scope also includes engaging an actuary to calculate other post-employment benefits (OPEB) beginning with the 2026 audit and assisting with related financial-statement notes. Proposers must provide qualifications and governmental audit experience, a fieldwork schedule, pricing for the current year and four subsequent years with and without the federal-award audit, pricing for Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, at least three governmental references in the St. Louis area from the past five years, and any proposed deviations. Key personnel must be licensed Missouri CPAs. The contract is for one year with up to four additional one-year renewal options.
