Description
The California Department of Transportation is soliciting price quotes for as-needed repair and preventive maintenance of state-owned small-engine equipment, power tools, and electric tools. The scope includes diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for equipment such as chainsaws, blowers, lawn mowers, airless sprayers, generators, pumps, grinders, jackhammers, and similar equipment. The contractor must furnish labor, new replacement parts, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment, and must provide a 30-day guarantee on parts and workmanship. Services will be requested through service requests and performed at the contractor’s place of business within a 30-mile radius of the specified regional office. Subcontracting is not permitted. The solicitation is limited to certified Small Business/Microbusiness or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise bidders under the stated California statutory authority, and award will be made to the responsive responsible bidder submitting the lowest price quote. The price quote includes hourly rates for repair and preventive maintenance, plus a 10 percent allowance for approved parts, materials, supplies, fees, and permits.
