Description
The University of Massachusetts Amherst is soliciting bids for #2 heating fuel oil for remote campus buildings and university locations in Belchertown and Hadley, plus low-sulfur diesel for campus generators. The contractor must provide automatic delivery for heating oil, prevent tanks from running out, respond to generator refill requests, and restart a unit immediately after delivery if it runs out of fuel. The contractor may also be asked to support temporary boilers on a 24-hour, seven-day basis. Bidders must submit fixed price markups per gallon for each fuel type, along with applicable delivery and under-100-gallon generator refill surcharges. Award will be based on the lowest combined markup. The contractor must provide a Certificate of Analysis with the bid, furnish spill-response company information, provide delivery tickets, and retain fuel samples when requested. The contract term is approximately October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with two additional one-year renewal options. Responses must be submitted electronically through the UMass supplier portal; hard-copy bids are not accepted.
