Description
The City seeks primary and secondary contractors to maintain, repair, modernize, construct, splice, terminate, and test its fiber optic network supporting information technology, transportation, and water operations. Work includes scheduled and emergency labor, aerial and conduit cable installation, fiber splicing, enclosure work, pole attachments, field engineering, design, record drawings, and as-built preparation. Emergency repairs must be available outside weekday business hours and on City-designated holidays, with response priorities ranging from two to eight hours for critical through medium-priority outages. The contract requires contractors to furnish approved materials and equipment as needed, comply with detailed fiber, conduit, installation, testing, documentation, security, and warranty specifications, and provide qualified personnel and emergency-response resources. Bidders must price all items; partial bids are not accepted. The City plans to award to two highest-ranked respondents, with the second serving as backup when the primary contractor is unavailable or unable to meet response requirements.
