Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates a firm-fixed-price construction contract to replace the existing perimeter fence, replace a gate, and automate Gates 1 through 8 at the Veterans' Health Care System of the Ozarks. The contractor will provide management, supervision, labor, materials, equipment, tools, supplies, and related services to complete the phased, turnkey project in accordance with the statement of work, drawings, and specifications. Work includes general construction and architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural work, as well as repair, removal, maintenance, and related tasks. The facility will remain operational during construction, and work must be coordinated to minimize disruption. The period of performance is 365 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The notice anticipates a construction magnitude of $5 million to $10 million and requires a bid bond with the proposal; performance and payment bonds are required of the awardee. This is a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside, with at least 15% of personnel costs to be spent on the concern's employees or those of other eligible SDVOSB concerns.
