Description
The Naval Air Systems Command's Network Enabled Weapons Trainer program is conducting market research through a Request for Information and Sources Sought notice. Responders are asked to submit an up-to-eight-page white paper describing their experience, existing capabilities, and planned approach to develop, manufacture, and maintain an inert, airworthy, aircraft-carrier-suitable captive-carriage trainer capable of emulating network-enabled weapons used by Department of the Navy aircraft. The proposed trainer must support fixed-wing carrier platforms, operate for extended training missions, use software-defined communications across required waveforms and 0–6 GHz frequencies, support mission planning and cryptographic-key processes, ingest live, virtual, and constructive tracks, record post-flight data, and provide internal processing with future growth capacity. It must be reusable in the carrier environment, compatible with existing ground-support and test equipment, maintainable at organizational and intermediate levels, and minimize platform software and testing impacts. Responses must not include classified or pricing information, and proprietary information must be clearly marked.
