Description
Wayne County is soliciting bids for construction of a parking lot at the Hall Richardson Senior Center. Work includes traffic control, grading, a graded aggregate base, recycled asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalks, a dumpster pad, curb and gutter, and concrete flumes. The contractor is responsible for finish grading, verifying subgrade compaction, and related site work; the County will provide fill material and perform rough grading. Striping is by others. Work must comply with Georgia Department of Transportation specifications, and bidders must hold Georgia Department of Transportation contractor certification. Bids must use the County-provided bid forms and include a 5% bid bond or certified check. The successful bidder must provide payment and performance bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, and insurance before contract execution. The bid package also requests the earliest anticipated start and completion schedule. The contract requires completion within 60 days after the Notice to Proceed.
