Description
The Fredericksburg City School Board is seeking a design-build contractor for the design and construction of a new middle school building. The new school will be designed for 1,100 students and encompass approximately 140,000 net square feet of new building space. The project will be delivered under a public-private partnership (PPE) with a Contract Cost Limit (CCL) of $75,580,000. The design-builder will be responsible for all design and construction services, including materials, equipment, and labor, and must achieve Substantial and Final Completion by the dates in the Project Schedule. The contract includes provisions for progress payments, retainage, liquidated damages, and shared savings. The design-builder must provide performance and payment bonds and maintain specified insurance coverages.
