Description
The Oregon Department of Corrections is soliciting bids for an estimated 85,000 pounds of brown parboiled rice, with bidders able to offer quantities from 50% to 100% of the requested amount. The rice must be 100% parboiled, long- or medium-grain, unflavored, and USDA Number 3 Grade or better. Specialty rice, including aromatic varieties, will not be accepted. The goods are to be delivered FOB destination in two estimated full truckloads of 42,500 pounds each. The first truckload is due within 45 days after receipt of order, with the remaining truckload due 45 days later or as scheduled by warehouse staff. Bidders must submit unit pricing and product, packaging, origin, shelf-life, and delivery information. A five-percent evaluation preference may apply to qualifying Oregon goods or services and a separate five-percent preference may apply to qualifying Oregon-resident bidders. The Oregon preference certification is required only when claiming the applicable preference.
