Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting repair and modification services for signal data recorders, part number 136779-1 and NSN 5895-01-382-5123, used on F/A-18 aircraft. The contractor must provide the facility, labor, materials, parts, tooling, testing, inspection, and related procedures needed to overhaul, upgrade, repair, and return the units to Ready-for-Issue condition. The requirement includes component repair and replacement, reassembly, testing, inspection, process-control documentation, configuration management, quality controls, calibration, storage, and compliant packaging. The contractor is responsible for necessary repair materials and must maintain an enclosed warehouse environment for assets awaiting repair and shipment. Repairs must be performed at the contractor-identified facility in accordance with approved technical drawings and repair manuals. The contractor must report asset transactions through the Commercial Asset Visibility system, meet the contractually established repair turnaround times and monthly throughput requirements, obtain Government approval for changes to repair sources or facilities, and address beyond-economic-repair, missing-on-induction, and over-and-above repair conditions as specified. The solicitation is identified as an RFQ for repair under FAR Part 15 and states that quotes must be submitted by email.
