Description
Volusia County is seeking an Allison factory-authorized full-service distributor or dealer to remanufacture Allison automatic transmissions and provide transmission service and repair for Votran buses. Work must use genuine Allison parts or approved equals meeting OEM requirements, include current updates and applicable upgrades, and include dynamometer testing with test results supplied at delivery. Remanufactured transmissions require a 24-month unlimited-mile warranty or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is greater. The contractor must also provide factory-authorized warranty service, field repairs anywhere within Volusia County, current diagnostic equipment, factory-trained and certified technicians, and a normal response time of no more than 24 hours, excluding weekends and county-approved holidays. Bidders must complete all pricing-sheet fields, submit FTA clauses, provide three similar references completed within the last three years, submit Allison authorization and technician-certification documentation, and provide the required certifications, forms, insurance evidence, and business records through the procurement portal. Award is based primarily on the lowest total cost among responsive and responsible bidders, while the agreement is for an initial three-year term with two optional one-year renewals.
