Description
The City of Gulfport is soliciting bids for construction of the approximately three-mile Interconnecting Gulfport-Airport Road Extension and Interstate 10 Overpass project. The work includes construction of new roadway and roundabouts, clearing and grubbing, earthwork, drainage, concrete sidewalks, bridge work, asphalt and cement road construction, stone base, striping, signage, and roadway lighting, along with all related labor, equipment, materials, and incidental work required by the contract documents. The estimated cost is $59,000,000 to $61,000,000. Bids must include five percent bid security in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond. The successful contractor must furnish performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract amount. The project must comply with the Mississippi State Highway Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 2017, applicable federal-aid labor provisions, and related amendments and special provisions.
