Description
The University of Minnesota is seeking a lump-sum construction proposal for a pre-engineered outdoor shelter and trellis, including site work, concrete foundations, and a concrete slab-on-grade. The project documents identify a shelter basis of design and require the contractor to provide the shelter, coordinate its engineered design with the foundation work, and complete associated construction. The scope also includes permitting, prevailing-wage compliance, and a proposed project schedule and work plan. The total construction budget is $360,000, and substantial completion is required by September 30, 2027. The proposal must include the completed RFP Cover Page and Declaration, team qualifications, project approach and work plan, a draft critical-path schedule, project cost, the Responsible Contractor Compliance Certificate, and the initial first-tier subcontractor list. The project approach is limited to five pages. The University evaluates team qualifications, approach, schedule, cost, and safety; respondents without an active University safety score must submit safety information as instructed. The solicitation states that performance and payment bonds are required when applicable under Minnesota law; the selected contractor must also provide insurance meeting the contract requirements.
