Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking capable contractors for monthly and semi-annual preventive maintenance and cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, grease filters, fans, blowers, ductwork, and related equipment at the East Orange and Lyons VA Medical Centers. The work includes inspection, cleaning, degreasing, belt replacement and lubrication as needed, operational checks, service tagging, cleanup, and service reports. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, travel, equipment, and supplies; comply with NFPA 96 and applicable laws; and have OSHA 30-hour safety training, IKECA/ANSI-10 certification, and hood-and-duct-cleaning professional certification. The anticipated base period is December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, followed by four option years. This is a Sources Sought notice for market research, not a solicitation for award; interested parties must submit a capability statement and specified company, experience, socioeconomic, certification, and subcontracting information.
