Description
The Department of the Air Force is seeking one new mechanical-assist mobile storage system measuring approximately 6 feet by 14.5 feet by 8.67 feet, together with installation. The equipment must be new, heavy-duty, commercial-grade, and suitable for high-volume military use; refurbished and used equipment is not acceptable. The system must include 10 sections with six equal-size shelves per section, for a total of 60 installed shelves. Each shelf must support 400 pounds. Installation must include safety mechanisms preventing the shelves from rolling off the rail, including at least one primary mechanism built into the design and one external secondary physical stop. The installation route is approximately 500 feet from the loading dock to the installation area, with no stairs, sufficient space for a 6,000-pound forklift, and existing power and lighting. Removal of existing vertical carousel units is not included. Installers may work during facility-supported hours and will receive an escort briefing upon arrival.
