Description
The State of Michigan, through the Michigan Department of Transportation, intends to negotiate a one-time purchase of a Humboldt Erosion Function Apparatus, model HM5940. The equipment is used in a laboratory to determine the erodibility of cohesive clay soils, an important factor in determining scour depths for bridges. The notice states that the State believes the equipment is available only from Humboldt Mfg. Co. Potential bidders challenging the intended single-source determination must submit a detailed description of an equivalent product or service.
