Description
Bedford County is seeking bids to remove and dispose of the existing Halon system and related alarm components in the Administration Building, cap or plug existing wet sprinklers over the designated rooms, and furnish and install engineered hybrid water-and-inert-gas fire-extinguishing systems in three rooms across two buildings. The work includes system design, detection and control equipment, storage containers, piping, alarms, testing, commissioning, training, and all associated mechanical and electrical work needed for complete, code-compliant systems. The specified system is a Victaulic Vortex hybrid system. The bid package requires a completed bid form, SWAM information form, references, proprietary information form, and insurer-completed insurance acknowledgment or certificate with the bid. The bid is due November 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time.
