Description

The Forest Service seeks applications to operate a concession at Mondeaux Dam Lodge and Day Use Area. The scope includes restaurant service, management of the swimming beach and picnic grounds, and commercial recreation rentals such as canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, small boats, and—subject to prior approval—other non-motorized equipment such as bicycles. The permit holder must procure and own rental equipment and provide the personnel, supplies, and equipment needed to operate the site. The operator will also maintain the lodge, grounds, and facilities; provide customer service; manage waste and utilities; and operate and maintain the public well water system in compliance with applicable requirements, including required testing. Applicants must submit an annual operating plan, a business plan, relevant operating experience and references, financial information, proposed public fees and government fee, and other specified application materials. The permit term is up to five years, with an option to extend for up to five additional years at the Forest Service’s discretion.
