Description
The City of Federal Way is soliciting sealed bids for construction of a multi-lane roundabout at SR 99 and S 373rd Street, concrete access-management barriers, roadway grading and paving, stormwater drainage facilities, curbs, islands, channelization, signing, landscaping, roadway lighting, rectangular rapid-flashing beacon systems, and related work. The project also includes Lakehaven water improvements, including removal and decommissioning of existing water mains, installation of approximately 1,570 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, valves, hydrants, service replacements, temporary water service, and associated roadway restoration. Bidders must submit the completed bid proposal and required bid forms, subcontractor list, wage-law compliance certification, recycled-materials proposal, retainage option, and a bid deposit or bond equal to 5% of the total bid. The successful bidder must complete the work within 170 working days and provide payment and performance bonds, insurance documentation, and other post-award contract documents. An apprentice utilization requirement of 15% of project labor hours applies unless approved good-faith efforts are accepted.
