Description
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority is soliciting contractors to perform tree trimming and removal along the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey Turnpike across five regions. The scope includes roadside and right-of-way clearing, pruning, tree removal, stump and exposed-root grinding to a depth of 12 inches, mulching, debris and log removal, and herbicide application when requested. Contractors must furnish qualified labor, equipment, traffic attenuators, bucket trucks, chippers, chip trucks, cranes, skids, log trucks, stump grinders, and related equipment. The contract requires routine, night, and emergency response work, including arrival at emergency sites within two hours and contractor yards within 90 miles of applicable Authority yards. Bidders must provide equipment information, driving instructions for each region bid, required certifications and registrations, bid security, consent of surety, and compliance documentation. The contract is for one year with two additional one-year extension options; bidders may bid on all five regions but may be awarded no more than four.
