Description
The Department of the Air Force is seeking low-cost detection and recognition sensor solutions for counter-small unmanned aircraft systems (C-sUAS), intended for transition into the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force. The systems will support permanent base-defense applications by operating as a perimeter network that provides early warning of low-flying drones, including non-radio-frequency-emitting “dark” drones, in cluttered environments. Each solution must combine data from all sensors at a node into a single track, provide the target’s heading and the detecting node’s absolute location, support remote node control, and be fully controllable through external application programming interface commands. The system must also integrate with Medusa command and control or another Air Force-directed command-and-control system. Strict size and weight limitations do not apply, and the system may use direct or off-grid permanent power.
