Description
The selected consultant will provide professional engineering services to design a complete streets corridor, including conventional bike lanes, sidewalks and curb ramps, crosswalks, bus-stop curb extensions, pedestrian refuge features, and related intersection and roadway improvements. The scope includes public outreach and coordination with other agencies and utilities; topographic and right-of-way surveying and mapping; and preparation of plans, specifications, and engineer’s estimates at 35%, 65%, 95%, and final stages. The consultant will also assist during construction bidding, respond to design-related construction questions, and prepare as-built plans. The estimated engineering-services duration is 24 months. The technical proposal must include a cover letter, executive summary and qualifications, approach and work plan, schedule, and task-effort worksheets. The task-effort worksheet is required with the proposal; the cost proposal is requested later from the highest-ranked firm. The solicitation also requires a completed Debarment and Suspension Certification with the proposal.
