Description
The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake & Sandy is seeking Statements of Qualifications from a consultant to update its Hazard Mitigation Plan for critical water-system assets. The work includes assessing natural and non-natural risks, updating hazard maps and assumptions, incorporating state and FEMA recommendations, evaluating mitigation projects, and developing an actionable, user-friendly plan that supports capital planning and future federal mitigation funding. The selected consultant will develop the scope of work, project schedule, milestones, workshops, stakeholder and public engagement approach, mitigation recommendations, project deliverables, and a timeline supporting plan adoption and FEMA approval by October 2028. The SOQ must address firm and team qualifications, similar hazard-mitigation work, at least three customer references, project approach, key personnel and subconsultants, deliverables, and compliance with the proposed professional services and nondisclosure agreements. Pricing is excluded from the SOQ and will be requested after selection.
