Description
Manistee County, Michigan is soliciting proposals from qualified professional transportation firms to provide Project Development services for the Safer Southern Rail Route Project (SSRR). The project aims to relocate approximately 3.5 to 5 miles of rail line to improve safety by eliminating eight vehicle and marine crossings, replace aging bridges, and support economic development. The selected firm will be responsible for preliminary engineering, NEPA compliance, environmental review, stakeholder coordination, and developing project and financial plans to advance the project to final design. The anticipated budget for this phase is $3,385,000, with a duration of 18 months. Proposals must include key personnel qualifications, at least three similar projects within the past 10 years, a scope of work, timeline, and line-item budget. The contract will be awarded based on qualifications, approach, project management, and experience with Michigan EGLE and CSX.
