Description
The U.S. Department of State, through the U.S. Embassy in Kingston, Jamaica, plans to issue a request for quotations for trenching, conduit, and ground-well installation at various locations on the Embassy compound. The contractor will provide labor, equipment, supervision, materials, and management for excavation, utility verification, handhole and manhole penetrations, conduit installation, pull lines, and related work. The work includes Schedule 80 PVC conduit, transitions to rigid galvanized steel conduit, prefabricated sweeping bends, soil and backfill materials, and placement and compaction in utility trenches and landscaped or unpaved areas. The anticipated base period is 21 days after contract award. This notice is for planning purposes and is not itself a request for proposals; interested parties must submit an expression of interest by the stated deadline, and the eventual solicitation will be posted separately.
