Description
Liberty Township is seeking a contractor to plan, design, supply, and install an adaptive playground and play surface for children ages 2 to 12. The project includes surveying the site; removing the existing playground, surface, and equipment; developing at least two conceptual plans with public-outreach renderings; preparing detailed construction and permitting documents; obtaining required permits; and furnishing and installing playground equipment, surfacing, drainage, shade elements, pathways, and related improvements. Surfacing options must include poured-in-place play surface and turf installation. The completed playground must provide inclusive and accessible play opportunities, comply with ADA requirements, and meet or exceed applicable IPEMA, ASTM, and CPSC standards. The selected contractor will assist with up to three public meetings, participate in design reviews, provide cost estimates at design milestones, perform construction and installation, and correct deficiencies identified during the post-installation safety audit. Proposals should include qualifications, a project team and resumes, at least three similar completed projects with references, design and construction approach, renderings and site plans, and an anticipated project schedule. Prevailing wage rates apply. The anticipated project budget is $1,300,000, and offerors may optionally submit up to three compliant priced options.
